a while ago i downloaded a music video, which of course contained both Audio and Video, ive only just noticed the size of the file is only 40Kb...i have played the the entire track though, its all intact and plays fine, granted the size is not particularly big (about 1/6 the size of my 15" screen) but its over 3 minutes in length?

I second it. May be file is not really downloaded and playing from the browser cache.

Open that file with TextEdit and you'll probably see the URL of the real movie.
