People who have had the white Magic Keyboard for months or years, how is it looking? Does it show a lot of dirt and black spots?

I’m considering buying one at a discount, but would like to know how it holds up after a year or more of use.

I'd like to know the same question. That thing getting really dirty would drive me crazy. The ones I look at in Best Buy look really grungy in spots but with all the people touching it and who know what's on their hands so that's not an accurate assessment.

I’ve had the white Magic Keyboard since it came out and I think it still looks pretty good. I think I’ve only wiped it down once or twice. Although I have to admit, I don’t use it daily - more like a few times a week. The material of the top and everywhere except the keys is similar to the Apple silicone case. Off topic but - I also have that white silicone case for my iPhone and have had one for each recent phone. However, this case has gotten stains easily which are hard to clean off. The only thing has cleaned it up is whitening toothpaste. I know that sounds silly but my case looks like new again.

I always wear out the keycaps on my MacBooks, I wonder how dirty my (I guess oily?) fingers would make this.

Hopefully it stays white. That is the only thing I wasn’t thrilled about with the deal i got on the less than month old iPad Pro 3rd generation and magic keyboard is it is white. So far in a week of daily use for about 4-5 hours a day and using it everywhere it has stayed looking perfect. Let’s hope that continues.

I’ve had mine for about a year and a half I use it everyday if you lean on the palm rest when you type eventually it will start to discolour.I started using a damp dish sponge to clean it but even this is too abrasive for the edges and over time it caused damage.Only use a micro fibre cloth fortunately I got a free exchange through my AppleCare+

They clean up pretty well. I just picked one up for my 12.9” for $130 USD. It was disgustingly filthy and stained, but I figured for that price I could at the very least get the keypad cleaned up and put some decals on to over up the rest if need be. I used some 99% isopropyl alcohol and a bit of elbow grease, and it’s almost good as new. White honestly wouldn’t have been my first choice, but for that price I couldn’t say no. Here are some after pics. I didn’t think of taking some before ones.

I've had mine over a year, still pristine, but I don't travel with/coffeeshop it.

Another thing that will get out stains is whitening toothpaste. Sounds silly but works well.
