Hi,

I own an Apple Watch Series 2 since its introduction and the performance seemed getting worse with every update. When I turn my wrist, the display would often take up to three seconds to wake up and show me the time. Starting an activity was also very slow and apps took ages to launch.

A few weeks ago I’ve started to reboot my watch every morning. This has drastically improved performance and my watch finally feels snappy again. The watch face turns on instantly and apps launch noticeably faster. After a few days, the watch slows down so I have to keep rebooting it every day.

Maybe this approach is worth a try for other Series 0 / 1 / 2 owners with similar performance issues. Let me know what you think and post back your results if you decide to give it a try. :)

Yes, I also think that this is a memory management issue. I wonder if this also affects newer models or if their faster processors and bigger resources can compensate for that.
