Apple states the screen size for the iPhone X as 5.8'' and 5.5'' for the iPhone 8 Plus.

The iPhone X has however round edges and a bit of the screen is cut off at the top for the screen for sensors and the camera.

If you have a look at the really usable screen the size does not seem to be larger than the iPhone 8 Plus.

Additionally, when you hold the iPhone X in your hand you might cover part of the screen with your fingers since it does not have much of a bezel.

Of course the iPhone X does have an OLED display with brighter colors, but that is another issue.

Would you prefer a rectangular screen (as in iPhone 8 Plus) or a screen with round edges screen and with a cavity for sensors and camera?

The iPhone plus has ridiculous bezels and is way too large physically for me. Same screen size with a smaller bezel is pretty comfortable so if the iPhone X manages this with its different aspect ratio then it’s fine in my book. I don’t really care for the cutout design though and tall phones pose more issues when using them with one hand as reaching both the top and bottom of the screen becomes more difficult.

I think overall I would prefer Sharp style screens where there is a lip at the bottom but no bezel at the top.
