I was chatting with a rep for another reason and she said on the phone she can add past 60 days as a leeway. I didnt ask her by how many days.

If you visit the Apple Store to set up your first device for AppleCare One or AppleCare+ for a single device, they’ll honor it beyond 60 days, but an Apple Genius Bar appointment is required.

they'll have to check out your iPhone, iPad or Mac to ensure it wasn't heavily abused or intentionally damaged in any way.

However, if you already had AppleCare One setup for one device, you can add coverage beyond 60 days.

Actually, the lady on the phone did say I was past the leeway period. Maybe expired before the holidays. This is for AC+, not AC One which has up to 4 years.

for the 17 pro ? did you get it launch day?
I just never asked the exact # of days beyond the 60 days
Got it. If you enroll in AppleCare at an Apple Store, they can activate it by checking out your iPhone with an Apple Genius within a year or two of ownership.

A few friends did the same when they got their iPhones repaired at an Apple Store for added peace of mind. you can ask during repair inquiries too!

I don’t think this is accurate any more.

Basically while there MIGHT be exceptions made, they’re on a case-by-case basis and there’s no “set” timeframe where it will be allowed vs. not.

Best option past 60 days is AppleCare One, as others have mentioned… you’ll need a qualifying device; purchased within 60 days or with existing AppleCare+ to start AppleCare One. But once it’s started you can add just about any device purchased within the past 4 years.

True. I was just giving a short answer to OP. But AppleCare One changed the dynamics of it. AppleCare One allows devices beyond 60 days but under 4 years.

Ngl I asked the Apple specialist about it and he told me that after AppleCare one came out.
