Hello, I heard that Intel released new powerful cpu for laptops yesterday. How likely do we expect new powerful laptop from Apple? Not sure if I should hold out the purchase of rMBP 15" 2015.

I was one of the naysayers who doubted that apple would release something so early in the calendar year, and in fact I was surprised to Intel rollout the skylake chips needed now as well. So I think its conceivable to see new MBPs this March, though in the past they tended to release MBPs in the summer.

I expected March tbh the chip roadmap Intel released suggested the chips would be available for a march release and the 13 inch rMBP was March last year. With an average 250 to 300 days between MBP refreshes this seems at the limit of what Apple would like to wait. However we may not see the 15 inch until AMD release Polaris GPU's and have a split release like last year.
