Some people quote a half hour. Usually same day that you cancel.

Are you guys suggesting that if one places an online order through Apple that hasn't shipped that we could not simply cancel the order while at the Apple store on launch day?

When I bought my iPad 2 there was a delay in processing, but I was able to reserve one in store. Once I picked it up, I cancelled my online order.

Remember though, by Friday your online order may have flipped to "preparing for shipment" and be ineligible to cancel.

i cancelled my order on apple.com and when i changed tabs to check eligibility on att.com i was already eligible..

(when i had the order in processing i was not..so it re-enabled instantly for me)

did this last night

(the pending $319 hold on my card is still pending though)
