In which case, running two GPS apps side by side while playing a video on the lower half of the screen will only depend on how long someone figures out how to get it to multitask.
I'm not sure what Apple's stance on this will be. On the one hand, the device, particularly the Wi-Fi only variety, won't be as much a threat to some sort of nefarious, and as yet unproven, cellular threat. On the other hand, keeping it proprietary has shown to be in Apple's best interests.
