For those who have gone through this already; how long did it take between being charged/prepare for shipment, and UPS showing some activity?

How long between prepare for shipment and showing on UPS MyChoice?

Different for everyone really. I ordered the 42mm Space Grey Sport at 3:02am and have been in "Preparing for Shipment" since Monday. No luck with UPS at all so far.
Same here, Ordered White Sport at 3:02am Eastern, order updated to preparing for shipment and AMEX charged Monday (still shows pending on my card) but nothing on UPS, I'm starting to get discouraged
same as all the others...charged on monday...preparing for shipping and nothing from ups so far......

Same here, we'll get shipping notifications from Apple tomorrow. Just like the iPhone 6 launch I got my shipping email on Thursday.

That's what I keep telling myself! There are almost NO east coast people who have reported shipping information. Surely it can't be that we are all out of luck for a launch day delivery... Right?
Many, many pre-orders later there hasn't been a reliable pattern. At least in my experience it varies a lot. What hasn't varied much is I almost always receive my order within two days of it being charged to my card. Even better, my orders have always arrived the morning of launch day.

Two of my colleague's at work have received UPS delivery date confirmation for the exact same model to be delivered on the 24th.
My 42/SS/Link is charged to my card, still waiting for UPS CONF.
Don't get discouraged! For the iPhone 6/6 Plus launch, I was never able to find my tracking number by reference or by UPS MyChoice, but I still ended up with my 6 Plus at 9 AM on launch day!
