how long did it take to get ur mbp? Ohhh the pain

its going to be 1 week tommrow since I've ordered my penryn mbp from guitar center.

I thought it takes only 24 hours to ship? This one was the basemodel mbp

O boy I'm getting so Impatient am I overeacting?

I hope it gets here at least by Thursday

anyway it takes long, if you were going base model you should have just gone to an apple store they have many of them in NYC shelves.
 
I ordered my 17'' glossy hi-res 2.5 on March 1st. Wasnt supposed to ship until the 24th. Had to finally change to a matte screen on the 12th and now my new mpb is on the airplane somewhere between alaska and the midwest. Should have it thursday morning, the 20th.

Not to get your hopes up or anything, when the Stork brought my MBP 17" matte, it left Anchorage at 10pm and arrived on my doorstep on the East Coast at 7am the next morning, bypassing Memphis entirely.

It made the day-and-a-half status of "preparing for shipment" almost bearable!

haha well, I'm having it shipped to where I work so I made sure I won't miss the delivery no matter when it gets delivered. :D

By the way, where did you have yours shipped to? Mine will be shipped to virginia so thats why I just made the assumption it would make a stop in memphis or indy but you are right I really have no idea what the fedex boys are planning.

WTF guitar center sell macs????
 
yeah there a apple reseller they can custom order any mac just like the apple store. Reason why I bought it there is cuz I have 1 year no intrest no payments yep dont have to send out a payement every damn month and it gives me time a whole year to pay!!!! Apple doesnt even give that kind of promotion tisk tisk
 
According to their website, they are only selling the previous model of MBPs. Well, the 17'' anyways. I didnt check the 15s

Virginia as well, and though it didnt hit Memphis, it did stop by Indy for a few minutes!

Anchorage->Indy->Dulles Sort->Alexanria Facility->truck->my waiting arms.

My pain? I was on my to work when it arrived - - I had to tuck it away until I got home that night!
 
1st purchase is 3 days ( apple online)

2nd purchase is 3 min. ( local apple store)

the first one encountered some problems and has to be shipped back.. i don't want to wait again for it to be received at elk grove CA, then that's the only time they'll ship the replacement..
decided for a refund instead..
drove to the nearest apple store and used a credit card to get a new one..

i agree it's the waiting game that's killing most of the "new" owners
