iPad How long do I have to purchase iPad 4?

Ok...so I'm still totally confused as to why Apple dropped the iPad 4 and will continue to sell the 2...

I wish to purchase the 4 and was wondering if anyone had insight into how long I have. Will stores completely drop the 4, is it on a store-by-store basis, what's HAPPENING!? Am I better off purchasing a refurb?

Get a refurb. Comes from Apple, full 1 year warranty w/ 2 year capable upgrade with AppleCare. 16gb on Apple.com right now for $379. Whole $20 cheaper than a iPad 2 new!

I am totally confused why anyone would buy the 2 or the 4. Okay, you save a little money. But the new AIR offers enough to make the decision very easy as I see it.
