How long do MacBooks take to come?

Hey all

I ordered my MacBook last night at about 7pm GMT and was wonderin how long it takes to be dispatched. At about 9 pm last night its status changed to Prepared for Dispatch... so does anybody know when it should be dispatched

Where did you order it from? When you ordered it there should have been a shipping date. I got mine from Amazon and it came within two days.

I got it from the online apple store (www.apple.com/uk) so how long does it normally take? Anybody know from experience?

I ordered mine, and Apple had it marked ready for shipment right away, Fedex took three days to even pick it up.

I had it in like ten days from purchase. I've never had time go by so slowly!

Mine took 4 days due to it qualitfying as a custom order (because I added a DVI adaptor!)

I'd say expect 2-3 days.

A week or so if it comes from China, 24 hours or so if it comes from the UK.

I ordered mine last Sunday night and it shipped from China because I upgraded to a 7200 RPM 200 gig HD. It would have arrived today if I had gotten it shipped to my home. Needless to say, I will get it Monday at work.

Well... you can walk into an apple store and leave with a MacBook, but you need to wait for it to be shipped if ordered online. Everything else stays the same.

How do you find out if its coming from China or the UK?

Is yours a custom spec? If you have bought a stock model it should come from the UK, if it's got anything upgraded (HD, RAM. ect) it will qualify as custom and come from China

I ordered mine online on tuesday last week at around 4pm, it came 11am the next day to my complete and utter surprise.

I suppose it depends where its being shipped from and when.
