Has anyone actually had their stand type switched by Apple? I'm wondering how long it takes. Right now, I can order an ASD with a regular stand and get it in about 4-5 weeks. If I choose the VESA mount (which I need), it's an 8-10 week wait. I figure it might be faster to get the regular stand, and then take it to Apple to have them switch it out.

How long does it take Apple to add VESA to ASD post-purchase?

If you are in the US, go to your local Best Buy store and order the ASD with VESA Mount. I ordered a pair yesterday in store with store pickup for April 20th. You have to go in person as online it shows coming soon and not available to order.
