I posted a new thread in the home theater forum 4-5 days ago and it still hasn't show up. How long does it take for mods to review and approve a newbie post?

Threads are posted immediately. Mods don't review new posts even by new members. (That I know of. Never happened with me anyway.)

You must've done something wrong when posting. Try again.

Ordinarily, new messages post immediately, but I did read a thread recently where a mod mentioned some newb posts get stopped for review as part of some anti-spam measures in place.

I've tried posting the same post twice in the last few weeks. Both times it has given me a message that the post had to be reviewed prior to posting.

That's true. Once in a while, a new post or thread will get caught in our queue and one of us will have to manually approve it, after review of course. Thankfully, it doesn't happen too often to normal members.
