1 second because I always sleep my systems, never power down.

And for those saying really low numbers (ie: 7), seriously? Can you show a video? I was able to get 15 seconds off of a fresh install of Snow Leopard, but less than half that? Really? We are talking power button to a completely loaded desktop (icons, dock, etc). I highly doubt 7 seconds.

About 10 seconds for the MP and about 15 for my uMBP both have SSDs, and to the guy who said 7 seconds, I call BS.

Use better thread titles these kinds of ones are so annoying and they dont help when people are searching for these types of threads

Mines 30 Seconds to Login then from login to dock another 15 seconds.. Sush.. I don't reformat. Anyway hopefully Snow Leopard can make it 15 seconds  That I call BS.

It takes 5 seconds to fully load a VM of Ubuntu stored in a ramdisk. So I really don't think there is any computer loading in less than 10 seconds.

My feelings are, well, I opened might as well give my .02 :D

Not trying to be an ass, but I have seen a lot of those threads lately.

You ever visit the iphone forum? lol

OP- It takes me about 15-24 seconds to power up. Specs in the signature.

I just timed it. It took 31 seconds after pressing the power button.

Anything is better than my windows from a few years back. That took like literally 10 - 15 minutes. >_>
