How long does it take to delete a user account on MBPr?

its been almost 24 hours and it's still deleting one of the user accounts I'm trying to delete

I did secure delete which means it will take longer but still.

Is it stuck? What should I do?

Definitely not that long.

Even the rMB deleted an account securely within a few minutes..

Are you using Filevault?
Try turning filevault off.

Restart your Mac. If the delete prevents that, you could try a force-quit of the finder.
Then, restart your Mac.
You may need to start up to to your recovery partition, run Disk Utility/First Aid to repair your hard drive.
Reboot to your normal system. Check to see if the deleted user is gone. Delete again if not.
That should do it.
(If you use Filevault - turn that back on when you are done with that user account delete.)
