when i get my macbook...im considering getting the free nano (or pay the difference for the 30gb ipod) but how long does it take for check from the mail-in-rebate to come in?

I think instantly. My girlfriend just got her MacBook in yesterday and it came with her iPod Nano (4G) and the policy in which to get the rebate.

If it came immediately, it would be an "instant rebate," not a "mail-in rebate."

I'd expect the typically 6-8 weeks that most MIR's take. You could always scour apple's website for the rebate form, it should say on it.

yeah checked the apple site and rebate form..doesnt say...
i guess i wont be getting it..simply i dont need one..and i dont have the money to pay up front for it...thanks neways

"Allow eight (8) weeks from the date your claim is processed to receive your rebate."

From the online pdf of the rebate form. ;)

Just an update on this. I'm in Canada and mailed my rebate form on June 18th. I got an email notification on June 27th that my rebate application had been received. I just checked the status, and it says the check was mailed out on the 27th as well. Remarkably quick turnaround.
