How long does it take to set up tethering on O2 UK?

Hi, I ordered mobile internet tethering for my iPhone at around midnight last night from O2 and I was told it'd take up to 24 hours to take effect. Well, it's been 18 hours and no sign of tethering coming online - I know there's still 6 hours left, but does anyone know how long it usually takes to come online?
