Hey guys I need a package delivered into Britain, specifically New Castle. What is the earliest it would take for it to ship? What company should I use? Thanks!

One thing to bear in mind is that our postal system is still recovering from the double whammy of the Christmas rush and the bad weather we've had over the past month. As such, there's a backlog and it's very likely anything you send across here now will be delayed a bit while things get sorted.

That's what I was worried about... My college portfolio is due January 15th, so I NEED to get it in by then. *sigh*

Any advice? Is there a way I can pay extra for it to get there SUPER fast?

I'm sure FedEx and UPS offer an express shipping option that will get it there in time. It might cost you a bit though. It would be best to check on their website.

Ups or dhl will do the job

Yeah, one of those or Fedex - regular mail is totally messed up right now. I sent a some packages USPS a couple of weeks ago and they still haven't been delivered. And stuff coming this way (Royal Mail) took 2-4 weeks.

It usually takes 1 week either way. Blame the Christmas rush and the weather.

I ordered a F1 calendar and it shipped from Great Britain and it took about 10 days to get to Michigan. That was with normal or standard rate shipping, nothing expedited. That was in late November to early December when I ordered.

I'd like point out it is Newcastle, don't want it sent to wrong city :p

Overnight it with FedEx or Ups, don't send via normal mail as it will most likely not arrive on time.

Yeah, go with a private company rather than through Royal Mail (regular mail) as there's going to be less of a backlog with a company like DHL or UPS.

Yep thats true. I had some documents sent out from my University on the 2nd December (I remember the date as it was my birthday) and I still haven't received them yet...and I only live 4 miles from my University.

Also I live in Newcastle :D Are you sending me a gift? Haha

I'd stick with like UPS and pay for express.
