Anything in particular on Samsung cloud that you require.

TBH I would never recommend Samsung or even Apple's backup solely. Using a Google or iCloud account you can keep your contacts stored in the cloud and available cross platform. Photo's always Google Photos for ease and cross platform access...

I can't find a way of accessing Samsung cloud data on PC / Mac ..

I returned my Note 7 yesterday at a Samsung store because I got an update on Friday night that limited the charging to 60%. Was fast and no problems. I went back to my Note 3.

First exchange took a week or two, got a J5 in the interim.
Second exchane was instant. I guess it depends on stock in some places.

I mainly wanted the pictures that i had on my Note7, but thankfully i also stored them on my mini sd card. I believe that i can pass them to my iphone via the computer.

I am still using my note 7, however I have received a full refund from Verizon for all monies spent on my original note7 and the replacement one. Samsung will of course be different.

Like someone said above for the back up, I would suggest you use Google apps going forward (if you plan on switching back to android at some point)

Still no refund, they lost my first check and I am waiting on a replacement

Why wouldn't you recommend Apple's iCloud backup? I've had my contacts tied to my Apple ID for many years, and it has never failed to sync instantly...

My only ding on iCloud is it is platform specific....where as Google for contacts and calendar is platform agnostic.
