I had the white model from 2006 and it lasted around 3 hours.

My Aluminum MacBook lasts 4.5 to 5 hours, depending on if I watch video
It lasts 2.5 to 3 if I'm watching or editing video

You wont get a useful answer on this topic. Its machine specific. Depends what programs your running, screen brightness, keyboard illumination, energy saver options, disk sleeping options... Too many variables.

Yup. 6 hour battery life for me, means nothing to somebody else because they may be doing more than just web browsing or listening to music.. WAY too many variables.

Web browsing firefox 6-7 tabs open, flashblock and adblock, brightness at half, retro-keyboard at 3 points, 2 months old battery with 35 cycle 100% health gives me:

3:30 to 3:45 average

i get close to 5hours and 50mins on my aluminum

bluetooth off
wifi off
keyboard backlight off
screen brightness vry low just above off.

nothing but word processing running while taking notes in class.

still doesnt beat my friends t61
that baby got like 17hours with the 9cell and 4 cell bay.

At 50% brightness and my LED keyboard turned off I'll usually get 4:30 if I'm just browsing the web

With wireless, browsing with safari, MSN Messenger, Word and Excel at class in the university mine lasts 4+ hours (length of the class) with the backlight at 1/4 or less.

I get 3.5-4 hours with aluminum MacBook. That's the estimated time remaining. I haven't got a timer out and tested or anything. Bluetooth off, heavy web browsing, keyboard backlight half, and brightness half. My old blackbook last 20-30 minutes before powering off less than 200 cycles. Called to see if it was eligible for the battery replacement program was told i shouldn't expect to get anything for free.

keyboard backlight half, and brightness half.

When it's dark in the room I almost always find that the minimum setting on the keyboard is usually bright enough. Theres many times I'll have the display at the minimum as well with no trouble seeing it.

There're too many variables. If I turn the backlight down to the lowest setting and turn off bluetooth and wifi and just use Pages, I have been able to squeeze almost seven hours out one charge before.
