Only really charged mine over night however yesterday she ran out of juice - put her on charge (via the mains charger) which took just over 7 hours!!!
 
Are you using the supplied cable to the supplied A/C charger or some other combo. If not try charging with both of these and see what happens.
 
Make sure you use the supplied wall charger, not an iphone/ipod one because the iPad one is 10 watts at 2 amps, the iphone/ipod ones are 5 watts at 1 amp, so it will charge much slower with those.

it's safe to use the 10 watt iPad charger with an iPhone/iPod though, for the record.

I was obviously misinformed that the iPhone and iPad chargers were identical except for shape, no wonder..........
 
Used the 10 watts at 2 amps plug this morning, was just under 4 hours!! Much Better :) Good to know!
