Mine only lasted 2hrs 30min on full charge (4th cycle. 4 day old), did the calibration and then it's now lasting about 4 hours. (it showed 7 hours in the beginning but number changed quickly as I opened Safari and browse online)

10 Hours? Come on Steve! Even with the dimmest light, bluetooth off, wireless off, no application running i've never seen 10 hours on MBP13". Not even 9 nor 8.

And I found this article.

At least the author was playing Quicktime video...me? Nothing much and 4 hours. (Factory defect?)

And decided to make poll to find out if this is true for everyone

Mine came with 0 cycles on it. I calibrated the first evening, and I wasn't watching the clock, but I'd say it took about 7 hours of light use to finally wear it down. I didn't have the lowest recommended screen brightness use, either.

Since then, I haven't been on batter power, so I can't comment, but I find it odd that you only get 4 hours. What are your power settings? Do you have other apps running in the background?

Nope, I checked Activity Monitor but no apps running in the background.
It got better after going through proper calibration, but still 4 hours? Am I the only one?

Just out of curiosity, what is your full charge capacity?
Mine is showing 5800 after calibration (was 5752 before).

Mine's at 5635 :eek::eek::eek: 3 load cycles and its at 97%!! It came at 104% (battery was 4% more than the set capacity), and it's already dropped 7 percent! How bad is this?!?!

But, I'm currently timing my battery, and here's the current data:
2 hrs, 59 min used (no games, just non-flash browsing, facebook, the forums, some work, etc.)
38 hrs 14 min standby (sleeping with the lid closed, all applications quitted)
Current charge: 37%, 3 cycles, calibrated twice :)

Whatcha guys think? Normal? Less than normal? More than normal?

mine can last 10 hours. BTW:

Seff writes:

“Our standard battery test, which plays a looped video in QuickTime until the battery dies, showed a life of 4 hours and 19 minutes for the 2.4GHz model and 4 hours and 33 minutes for the 2.66GHz model.”

This is not the way Apple tests their computers. Of course if you watch a video, it's going to be a lot less.
