How long is jailbreak supposed to take?

It's taking really long and it says "beginning jailbreak, this may take a while" it's been like this for about an hour now. It hasn't changed. What do I do?

It's an iPhone 4s and I'm using absinthe.

I did the jailbreak on a fresh iphone with no content on it and I was done in a couple minutes. If you have a lot of content then the program will have to shuffle it around and this could take a while.

I have about 4000+ songs and a couple more songs

I have no music or pictures, several apps and from start to finish it tool less than 8 minutes.

It's been like this for an hour. I kind of gave up already and just let it rest. I don't know what else to do

mine was 20gb filled, took around 5mins to jailbreak it. It helps if you have the iPhone on wifi and you are using the latest version of the jb. I used the -2 version yesterday.
