I have had my new 2.4 blackbook for a couple of weeks now and apart from a slightly unresponsive 'y' and 'return' ke I am very happy. The battery has been very good and I use it a lot without the power cable.

However the last couple of days the battery seems to have seriously got worse. If I unplug it with the best battery life option I almost instantly drop down to 3 hours 40 min left at 99%. Is this right?

Anyone else have any benchmarks. I use it for internet and bit of wordprocessing, nothing to heavy.

Here's my screenshot. Sorry no benchmarks.

Last night I got a little over 3 hours at medium brightness while watching a google 2 hour video using wireless and running mail app in the background and volume @ 90%. I was calibrating my battery so I wanted to drain the battery. Not too bad I'd say. Usually I run my screen at 1/3 brightness.

This was on a 2.2 gig black book. ;)

how the hell can anyone stand 1/3 brightness. i don't live in africa so i know i can find an outlet basically anywhere. but seriously i blast my brightness full all the time.

I'd like the brightness to go even lower.
