Hi guys!

I have three Macs, all running 10.9.2. on an Ethernet network (the MacBook Air is on WiFi, but I get the same speeds). When I command-K on the MacBook or the iMac (both last years models) and open a screen sharing connection to my Mid 2011 Mac Mini, it takes 10 - 15 seconds before I get the screen (same performance between any two macs, but this is the combination I use the most).

I seem to remember that opening a screen sharing session has at some point been almost instantaneous. I can't pinpoint a moment in time or a specific OSX version number where I think this has been fast, but I've had two of my Macs for less than half a year, and during that time I believe the time to open the connection has started to take longer. I have no hard facts, just a feeling.

If this is so, and this shouldn't take this long, where should I start looking to fix this? Network settings, probably, but where and what?

How long does it take for you guys to get a screen sharing session up on your networks?

Help appreciated,

Kim
