I currently have the ibook in my sig as my sole computer. It's great, but I really want something with DVI so I can use my 20" ACD again (it's just been sitting there since I sold my powermac 2 months ago).
Apple now has refurb 12" PBs with 1.5 Ghz/60 GB 5400/512 MB/combo for $1099. A great deal!
But if the 12" macbook pro and/or a 12/13" intel ibook (or "macbook," or whatever) with DVI will be out any time soon, I can wait. But there is a rumor that the 12" PB will not be replaced, and although the ibook is bound to go intel eventually, there's no telling if it will get DVI. So there's at least some chance of there being no small intel portable with DVI.
And even if there is, if it's not coming until April, I might just buy the 12" PB so I can use my display for 3 months that it would otherwise be sitting in its box.
What would you all advise? Keep the ibook and wait for intel? Or buy the powerbook and be happy with the year-old specs because at least I could use the ACD now?
