Considering not only the stock icons have changed, now all third party apps will have to change also to address the new look, like the lack of button borders and more minimalistic approach.

The first few months or year it will be weird using the new stock apps and the old third party apps, which will now change and be more like the Windows Phone 8 apps.

Do you guys think third party apps will look good with the new look or do you want them to stay with their current design?

They most definitely need to change with the new look. With the look if looks like io6 didn't fully develop into ios 7 and the look will be thrown all off. So yes, they do need to update the apps.

I'd imagine that after some time Apple will begin rejecting updates to applications that do not conform to the new UI.
