How long will it take apple to fix my iphone?

What the average length of time people wait to have repairs done, if i send it back to apple am i looking at 2 weeks or 8 weeks?

the problem with it is it has a faulty silent button, when I put the phone on silent if the button is touched it goes onto normal mode then straight back to slient vibrating all the way, which is anoying as im walking down the road and feel it vibrating in my pocket!

Why not give 'em a ring and ask? They'll give you an estimate. I've found these to be pretty accurate.
