Hi All,

Share not scare here :)

I read up about this, with these new magsafe iPhones coming out.

I really can’t imagine the smaller magsafe magnets will be a issue, but thought I’d read up. Great if Apple have worked out a way to use them that doesn’t mess up the internal compass etc

The below is an interesting balanced read. Hope that helps. 2015 article though. Will be interested in the 2020 reviews of the latest MagSafe iPhones and accessories.

Interesting read. Backs up what I have seen in the past. When I had my iPhone X, I had a wallet case that had the case that held the phone magnetically to the wallet itself, so I could pull off the phone and use it without having to fold the wallet back, like a folio case. However, the magnet created problems with the compass and GPS to where readings were inaccurate, which is critical in apps that use it. Had to stop using the case when I got kicked from raids in Pokémon Go due to the issue.

Don’t worry Apple will pull them after release...... 😬
Like every hardware/software release recently has an issue of some sort.....🤪

Why not make it inductive like my Magic Mouse charger?
