A batter "cell" can come in all different sizes, shapes and capacities so knowing the number of cells doesn't tell you anything about battery life or size. What you want to look at is mWHs I think is the abreviation, that tells how much energy there is stored in the battery. And that, I believe, Apple does tell you.
