I start using my machine at 7 or 8 in the morning and it's usually out of juice by 1 or 2 pm, so roughly 5 hours. Need to charge to get me through the rest of the day. As a result, I've been averaging > 1 cycle per day.

Wow, it seems that more cycles in a short period - more battery health drop.
Mine is 2012 13" rMBP - almost always plugged in.

Certainly looks that way. I think Apple designs the battery to hold 80% till 1000 cycles. I would probably get the battery replaced if it dropped below 80% and since I don't have AC+, I would need to do so out of pocket. I'm hoping a nice Arm MB/MBA is released before then so I can trade rather than spend on battery service.

My macbook air 2019 only on 22 battery cycles only drain once a month on the 1st battery still at 98% not bad for 13 months old purchased last year Sep 2019.
