My plan is to buy a phone, whats your plan?

My plan is to try and get a phone in a timely fashion, despite the fact that people are ordering 7 phones at a pop and tying up the limited supply at launch.

He's not tying up and launch supplies. He waited 4 hours after per orders went live. The 6+ was long gone by then.

You do realize that there is a chance that these will be easier to find in stores and therefore not worth as much by the time that you get them?

I ordered two 6+'s. One for me and one for my husband.

4 hours into the first day of preorder isn't considered launch supply? Buying 7 phones during the first day with the intention of selling 5 them off at profit is going to tie things up for others. Don't get me wrong-he is absolutely entitled to do that, but it does contribute to the supply shortage.

No I know. It's a jerk thing to do. I'm just saying he won't get them at launch and that will cut into his profits.

None. And there won't be any orders from me. I'll try to trade my current 5 for a 5s while still around and before it's only available with iOS 8. And if Apple doesn't come back with a smaller phone soon I'll have to switch to something else. Don't know what though. This is all extremely ridiculous.

I agree, my wife pre-ordered hers at Best Buy. When it comes it, she gets it. It's not the end of the world if she doesn't get it on launch day.

6 on order from aapl. got 2 on the initial opening, then all of a sudden woke up to 4 reservation emails...said what the heck and took them all...delivering 9/19..a mix of silver, SG 16 and 64s

I have three preordered for personal use (family).

I have another 5-6 on order as well, but those are for friends who wanted one. They might take a while to ship.

I don't care much for flipping.
