I need to buy 3 iPhones on July 11th. One is for me and the other two are for my business partners. One of my business partners will be switching to AT&T from Sprint and the other is an existing AT&T customer who is out of the country on her honeymoon.

I am pretty sure there is no way for me to go to AT&T since I can't activate their phones. Should I be able to go to the Apple Store and get the phones and let them activate them later? I am happy to sign a contract that they will be activated, but the other two will not be activated in my name.

Any thoughts?

Well, your first problem is you won't be able to port their numbers. (Well, you might be able to but its going to be a serious pain)

We don't know the limits, there are a ton of rumors.

However, if your friend is out on a honey moon. I would be willing to bet that when they return they will be able to get one very easy.
