How many laptops do you have and actively use? Which ones are they? (I wasn't sure where to post this since there isn't a "general notebook" forum, so I'm posting it here since I am most active in this forum being an MBP user.)

I have a MBA 11" i5 and just this week added a MBA 15" early 2011. The MBA travels with me daily for work and the MBP is for use at home.

I have my MacBook Pro and my old Gateway laptop which I keep around for when I need to do stuff in Windows 7 and to test out the preview for Windows 8 whenever the consumer preview is released. I don't have enough hard drive space to bootcamp Windows on my MacBook. So that makes a total of two.

I had a Toshiba netbook that I would take with me when traveling on my motorcycle. It was terrible so I just dumped it after buying my 13" mbp. It's my only laptop at the moment.

HP windows 7 laptop for video editing and such and macbook pro 13inch i just bought this week. I leave my HP laptop hooked up to the tv for streaming hulu/netflix/some youtube and lounge with my macbook on the couch

Here's where I look like a geek.

I have a 11" MBA, 13" MBA, 3 15" MBP, and 1 17" MBP. Why so many? You didn't ask, but i'll answer anyway.

The 13" MBA is for traveling. I bought the 11" MBA for my granddaughter for Christmas but then decided not to give it to here because she already had a MBP 13".

The 15" MBP is my work computer. Another one is my backup just in case something happens to the 1st one. I'm a programmer so I can't be down for any length of time because of mission critical software. The 3rd MBP 15" is a couple of years old and I'm waiting to hand it down to relatives.

The 17" is a couple of years old and is used mostly at home.

And as soon as the 15" MBA comes out, I'm pulling the trigger for the top of the line. I'd use the 13" MBA exclusively if I could only get more memory in it. 4 gigs is not enough for Mac and Win 7 in VMware. it works, just not as well as 8 gigs. Hopefully they won't make this mistake with the 15" MBA.

If the MBP stays at home, why didn't you get an iMac? More screen and power for less money.

My first Mac, 4 years back was the iMac. It still very capable and as fast as I bought it. But it's in my upstairs office, and I prefer to be mobile down stairs with the computer. Nothing like couch surfing.. I doubt I will go back to a desktop after the iMac RIP. As far as cost, I picked up my new MBP from the refurbished store $1359 and added the Crucial M4 256 and 8 GB of Ram for $349. As far as cost I did not spend much more then getting a new iMac.

Early 2011 base 13" mabook pro s5 and 15.5" hp windows 7. Asus netbook rarely used.

MBP early 2010 15" is my main machine. Two Lenovos also follow me around, depending on the circumstances. Then I have a bunch of virtual machines with various OSes, including various flavors of Windows. Those I run under Fusion on my Mac because of the solidity of the combination.

As of today I have two. My old gateway which was a few years old. And my brand spanking new 15" MBP that I have already fully charged once then run down and I am currently charging again. I never expected a computer to be this enjoyable. I took it to show it off and ran the battery almost all the way down. i was so sad that I couldn't use it any longer. After about an hour I had to rush home to get it on the charger so I could be using it again. Consider me one VERY VERY happy first time mac user. I love this thing. I just hope my girlfriend doesn't find out I'm cheating on her with it ;):apple:

i have a dell mini 9 netbook and a recently purchased MBA 11" since the mini 9 just wasn't enough anymore. i had the mini hackintoshed at least with SL but it was just starting to get too slow and bad battery life. the MBA 11" is great and i should probably sell the mini 9 at this point, but its nice to have a fallback just in case.

I have a MacBook and MacBook Pro. I only use my MacBook Pro. My MacBook is only for emergencies.. The trackpad on that is horrendous. But I'm keeping it because it was my first computer of my own.
