How many MacBooks do you have?

Try not to judge me too much... I am an addict and I know it. I am thinking about selling one or two of my machines since I got the 14". This screen is beautiful.


M1 Pro 14" 512gb 16gb of ram MacBook Pro (base model)
M1 512gb 8gb of ram Macbook Air
M1 512gb 8gb of ram Macbook Pro
2019 I9 15.4" 512gb 16gb of Ram Macbook Pro

Also a base M1 256 gb Blue iMac for one office and a 2017 27" iMac 512gb SSD 16gb of ram in the other.

How many do you all have?

You have a problem. I had 4 and am down to 1 (M1 MBA).

I’d find keeping that many machines in sync a bit of a chore! Whatever works for you - I wouldn’t mind a separate desktop and laptop, but find it easier to have one MacBook and an external display. Most recently had a 13” M1 MBP, currently waiting on my new 14” M1 Pro to be delivered. Should do me for 4-5 years.

Currently, I also have four!

1. 2012 Unibody MacBook Pro 15", i7-3615QM, 16 GB RAM, 750 GB SSD (incl. one additional SSD that replaced SuperDive)
2. 2013 MacBook Air 11", i7-4650U, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD
3. 2020 MacBook Air 13", M1, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD
4. 2021 MacBook Pro 14", M1 Pro 10/16 cores, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD

I don't have any actual use for that many computers. The 2012 Unibody MBP 15" for maximum power and upgradability along with the portability of MBA 11" was a perfect combo for me, that worked magnificently for years. However, they started to show their age eventually and do not officially support more recent MacOS versions. I think I should sell two of them, now that MBP 14" reigns supreme – but still haven't decided on the one that I'll keep as a backup.

I had two - a 2016 mbp and a 2020 M1 but those were 2 of the devices of traded in for the new MacBook Pro

I currently only have 3 Mac laptops:

Mid 2012 11” MBA
Late 2011 17” MBP
Late 2001 12” iBook

My next one will be a MBA, once one is released with MagSafe.

I have a ridiculous amount of desktop Macs though.

I have 2 but only use one of them. Was thinking about replacing it but I decided to get it spruced up at the Genius Bar and keep going until it's no longer usable.
