If I count all the machines I have in total I think I have about 14. That includes dual processor machines.

**Note** Dual machines can count as 2 machines since they process 2 WU's at once.

The number varies radically. Currently running I have 9. I do alot of folding at night and on weekends. At peak performance I have 13. (give or take.) I basically look anywhere I can pick up a few units... :)

Spectravideo 738 (at my parents place, thousands of miles from me)
(Pause, school computers, horrible.)
P1 166 table (horrible, besides sold away, spent money flying to south america)
P2 366 laptop (98, ME, RH, Mdr etc. sold away, money spent on mac)
iBook ...
Will get later this year a 970 i hope
so, 4 only. hm. those that i've had so far, and 1 those i do have now.

if you include the DP comps as 2 we're prob about 90+ strong here

the majority of those being 800Mhz - 1GHz eMacs and Dells

i could do a complete list if anyone cares

I've only got one folding -- it's the only computer that I leave on constantly.

When I eventually get a server for my house, I'll start that one folding too.

Are we counting duals as 1, or 2 computers here?

Some of you say 1, but you have duals, yet others have the 2 CPU = 2 comps...

Set some ground rules please.

You should search out some friends comps to fold.

The one friend that has a ton of computers is on another DC project (bah) and aparently he gets like pennys to his work units completed... :p

Yeah, I think if someone send that secret install link here I'll install on some of my friends computers. :p

Sorry for Hyjacking... but i have some questions.

1.) what is the macRumors Folding Team ID?
and
2.) Is there a way I could get it to do full duals for my dual 867?

Answer: 1

But I also have a question-How did everyone know that the original question was about folding? It just says "running." Why did everyone assume that is was about F@H? (even though that seems to be the right assumption :))

Macrumors Team Folding is simply the most commonly discussed,
just the one mac here.

1. Its in the DC forum.
2. (from the sig of the thread maker) "(fold for team 3446!)"

At the moment I'm running it on two computers. A 1GHz athlon (mine), and a 3GHz P4 (my mum's:)). I've been running it on my 500MHz tibook, but that seemst to have delevoped a problem with the hard drive, so it's out of the running right now :(

So currently: 2 computers

Because this is the distributed computing thread, and most people here are folding. Sorry for any mix up.

I guess it's my fault because I didn't check which forum the thread was in.

Anyway, I have to modify my answer. It's 2 now because it's a dualie. :D

5.5 - I get my wife's laptop to run it when I can, but not always.
The other 5 are full time and I am hoping to add several more in the future - including my own 970 at somepoint :D

Now I have 8.
Hoping to get several more in the next week.
