I have a imac and have purchased over 1000 tracks from itunes. These are stored on the Imac and I think the external Hard drive. Both my wife and I have iphones. How many other macs can i copy my itunes library to

Also if I lost my mac, lets say it got stolen would I be able to download the music again from itunes for free? does Itunes keep a record of each down load?

With DRM-protected files, you can have five computers authorized.

Generally, no, you cannot re-download.

Unless they've changed their policy in the last few years, yes-- you may request to re-download lost purchases; just ask, they have records of all your purchases.
