Seriously, how often can you post the same nonsense, over and over again? I'm starting to think that half of the posters on MR who keep posting the same, "OMG! You need a new wire/dongle to connect your MBP with some device!" or, "The new MBP doesn't have crybaby lake CPU's!" or, "The new MBP doesn't have a bu7t plug attachment in the box!!" are shills who are on payroll for some other computer company.

I mean, Razer even tweeted that Apple should S their D (referring to their SD card slot).

"Pros", which apparently are roughly defined as "those people who edit video for a living", keep saying how a LAPTOP isn't good enough to edit Lord of the Rings on.. Well, no Sh$t!! It's a laptop for god sakes. It's meant to be a tool that helps you get your job done -- and, frankly, from what I've seen the MacBook 12" do using FCPX and 4k video, if you can't get your work done on the 15" MBP, you're just making stuff up now.

Finally, please stop suggesting that Windows and Mac are completely interchangeable. And, how as a PRO you can just flit between the two OS's without any issue. I call BS. Windows is a resource hog, it sucks in so many ways, it's hard to itemize... But, comparing CPU speed between windows machines and Mac's is like comparing apples to oranges. You can't make a direct comparison between speed/optimization on a Mac vs. the nonsense that passes for Windows boxes. Windows wastes resources on virus scanners (constantly burning your CPU cycles), malware scanners (again, slower IO/CPU), spyware/adware, all sorts of other nonsense that 90% of the world doesn't care about...

I want lean, mean, and optimized. That's Mac.

If you'd prefer bloated, archaic, and slow, go get a Razer or Dell or hp... It might even make my wait for my new MBP faster if everyone else cancels.....

People just like to complain, it makes them feel they are smarter etc... that is why the negativity propagates itself so quickly. By exaggerating every small issue they can find (I need 32GB of RAM to watch 300 4k porn movies at the same time etc etc) they keep reinforcing this mechanism.
At the end of the day it is kind of boring and most of these posts are just lowering the quality of the discussion.

Do you understand you're complaining right now? :) Oh the irony.

You most be paid by Apple since you are defending them.
Wish I was... Although, in some round-about way, I probably was. I did invest heavily in Apple, and made a killing on Apple options/stock.

You haven't used a modern windows edition, have you?

Also - so if someone has a negative opinion about a product they must be paid shills? Where do I sign up for a job?

I have to agree with a most of what you typed here.

Steve Jobs had one thing right when he took Apple in the direction of consumer, not enterprise as a primary business strategy. People vote with their wallets. If they like the product, they will buy it, and if they don't they won't! Apple will be forced to figure out another strategy. That's it!

I am so tired of people complaining about these new Macbook Pro's. If you don't like the decisions Apple made, vote by not shelling out the outrageous amount of cash it takes to buy one of these computers. (Yes, I love them, but it doesn't mean they aren't overpriced).

The sky is not falling on Apple.

HERE IS THE POINT: In a year this will be a null point. We will all have what we want. Intel will have the hardware Apple needs to meet their hardware engineering goals for the product, and USB C will be the new normal. Whew, we all survived after all! :)

The problem is not by whom they are paid, the problem is they aren't payed nearly enough to afford a new MacBook Pro. I reckon, 97% of the complaints would disappear if people had enough money to order.

I think you are wrong.. I think most people can indeed afford the new prices but there come a point where it's just robbery....

I can afford it but I chose to pass because I'm not interested in getting ripped off...

Let's not play the "they don't agree with me, therefore they are paid" card. If I wanted that, I would go to a political forum.

Yes, I would agree. I am not in the market for an MBP at the moment. I'm happy with my 2015. I can afford it too. But the price with the additional costs for dongles, and the AppleCare possibility is just too much to reasonably pay.

I'm getting two of them out of pocket and a third from my employer.

And I'd be just as happy spending $1k more and getting better keyboards, ethernet ports, and all the other things I want that Apple doesn't feel like providing.
