Just my thumbs, have never encountered a situation where I would need more.

I believe you can add up to five. I do my index fingers as well for unlocking when on my desk or table.

Right thumb is most important. I also have left thumb right, right pointer finger, left pointer finger and left pinky ! I use my left pinky a lot when eating and have dirty hands.

the problem I found is anything besides my thumb it is usually easier to punch in the code and faster.

I got 3 (both thumbs, right index) and my wife got 2 (both thumbs).

Was really hoping they would expand that to say 10 in this generation. It's already bit me a few times using the wrong finger.

I have heard that you can kind of hack it to read more by using multiple fingers on one entry, when scanning for setting it up. But obviously that seems a questionable path to take; even if it works, may lead to reduced accuracy.

Both thumbs and right middle finger. Couldn't get it to open with my nose, but it did accept it as a finger.

I registered my right thumb three or four different times using different positions and patterns, it means that I am always guaranteed a touch ID success

Right and left thumb, and right pinkie as well.

The last one is surprisingly useful when I am eating fast food and need to unlock my phone, but my first 3 fingers are full holding a burger (and probably dirty and oily as well).

Maybe I should practice swipe-typing with my left pinkie as well...
