I'm eligible for a full upgrade to iPhone 4 and i also want to add a line to get my girlfriend one as well. Can I do this by myself or do I need her there with me?

Are you the primary account holder? If so you and your gf have to be present since I believe the policy is 1 iphone per line per customer. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

I am the account holder.

I believe the policy was 1 iPhone per line for existing customers? So if I add a line, shouldn't I be able to get 2 since I am existing?

Yes that's what I said. You and your gf can upgrade but both of you have to be present.

Even if i'm the account holder? That doesn't sound right

It's 1 iPhone per line and I have 2 lines. Why does she need to be there?

Let me get this straight....you are an existing customer right?
If so, you want to get 2 iPhones but you as the only one showing up?
If you answer Yes to all my questions then you only need to show up.

im doing the same thing and its a confusing mess. i'm thinking ill order my upgrade online and have it shipped and then add the line at the store. this way i will be sure i get the two phones i need. this is what i did last year as well. got one upgrade from apple and had it shipped and then got a second update at an att store. this year however, i need to add a line.

Some people on here are pretty uninformed. The ONLY person that needs to show up is the account holder. No ex's, girlfriends, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, dads, moms, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents or the like.

Nope. JUST the account holder.

Jeez.
