Hello!

I wonder how many photos can I open in one window of the preview?
Yesterday I tried to open a large number of photos in preview and the preview is blocked.
I have Maverick OS.

I also noticed that if I open a large number of photos in the preview, program preview open two or three windows of the Preview.
Why?
How it works (preview)?

Thank you.

Regards.

I'm not sure why you want to do this, but it's going to depend on system and GPU memory....I've accidentally had preview open hundreds of files only stopped when I killed the process but there were at least 200 images open when I stopped it

Yeah, maybe I had too many photos really opened.

If the preview program accidentaly stopped is it posible that OS X damaged?
At the next attempt with a smaller number of files it worked ok.

I am a new mac user and I learn.

Thankx

Regards

No, don't worry OSX is fine, it would just keep on going slowing down until it finally stopped.....you've done no harm at all...:)

It is possible that in the large number of files that you tried to open in preview at the same time, that one or more of the items is not compatible with Preview.app.

Since you are new to the mac, you might try this to accomplish what you are trying to do. (it works best in list view)

Click on the item at the top of the list of items you would like to view and press SPACEBAR, it will show the item in Quicklook, now press the DOWN arrow. Repeat. Repeat.

Did this do what you would desire?
