iPod touch How many think this will happen...

I came across this article today and it mentioned an Apple Event was suppose to happen at the end of this month. Although it says it's a rumor and that the rumor also mentions it will be delayed. How many think they will reduce the price to the iphone touch by $100? Also an employee of apple mentioned the third party apps should be coming out in February. What does everyone think?

A price drop won't happen, I can promise you that. SDK will, but apps are less likely as the SDK is for development, which doesn't come instantly.

They won't lower the prices until summerish time, and they usually do some iPod thing before back to school.

SDK will definitely come out the end of this month, and furthermore apps will come out in about 2-3 days after, because many third party applications require to be on jailbroken iPods, but work legitly on one enough to just be "ported" when the SDK allows for the touch to be installed the nice way through iTunes. Just because jailbreaking is bad for your iPod doesn't mean the apps made for it aren't.
