I just moved from a 2012 rMBP to a 2016 MBP via Migration Assistant and the transition seems to have gone well, except it appears my user dictionary might not have been migrated. Does anyone know where this is stored in 10.12.2? It seemed like one's user dictionary used to be a plain text file, but digging around in my Library, all I found were some .db files. Thanks.

EDIT: I just opened a few large text files and it appears my user dictionary did migrate — various names, etc., weren't marked as misspelled. Oddly, though, my sister's name is still being autocorrected when I use Messages, which is why I originally thought my dictionary hadn't migrated. Perhaps Messages learns from usage and not from one's user dictionary?

EDIT #2: This is embarrassing, but I forgot I should be checking the Spelling file and not in the user dictionaries. I just opened my spelling file and it was clearly migrated. I also forgot that not all macOS apps use the local spelling file, or at least don't make full use of it.
