My 5s fell and the point of impact was so good that the board is very slightly damaged. First, my signal was failing then it showed sim not found.
I got it repaired and its seems fine now. But the tech told me that, for any further issue arises with the network, it's best to just buy another phone as its a very high risk in working on the board as the sim thing is damaged. Everything except the sim is fine.
Now I keep always checking the signal strength (the 5 dots). Sometimes I find that phone is on 1 dot and the other dots comeback as I just the home button to see the signal. I am not sure if this is normal. Is there any app or a way to view the logs on signal strength (5 dots). Does the phone go to 1 dot on standby mode to conserve the battery? I only check the phone when it's in a stationary place like my office desk. I dont even take it in my hand, I just press the home button to see the signal as moving the phone, i think might change the signal strength.
Also, yesterday my battery was showing its at 10% and the battery was red. The second I plugged in my battery pack it just jumped to 31%. I am not sure if this is common or related to my signal issue or some other issue.
I am just noticing everything about the phone now and not sure if its an issue or normal.
