iPod touch How much actual space on iPod Touch?

Well I was watching the iPod Touch guided Tour and saw this picture:

So on the 8GB model is there 7.08GB's minus the space the OS takes?

No, that'll be including what the OS takes, and anything they have synced on there already. From new I'd say you we're looking at about 7.5-7.7 on there.

The OS takes 1GB. The 8GB Touch has a 1,750 song capacity. Then there's the actual formatted capacity which would be around 6.5GB.

Pretty sure that Engadget said an empty-but-formatted 8gb iPhone had about 7.24gb free.

I remembered seeing this topic, but I got my touch on monday (16 GB) and it has 14.8 GB Capacity. Does that sound right for other 16 GB users? Just seems like it should have around 15.1 capacity, maybe I'm just exaggerating my concerns.

Well, it's actually 14.84, can't forget that last four, that is like what, one more song on there! I am doing pretty good on this regard, I have a lot of my videos and music and photos on here and I still have a lot of space left over. I'm so glad I didn't get the 8 gig one...
