How much are these 2 mac pros worth?

I have a rough idea looking at eBay, but I wanted a second opinion.

2006 Mac Pro 2.66, 12 gigs of ram, 300gb hard drive, and Ati 5770 video card.

2008 Mac pro 8 core 3.2, 2 gigs of ram, 750gb hd, and nvidia 6600 card. (something like that)

My guess: $800 on the 2006, and 1000 on the 2008. Either too high or low?

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay, or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what you may be able to charge. Then adjust your price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.

I'd take a hard look at the 2006 Pro. I'm fairly certain that 2.66 is the quad core -- which is stupid. 64 bit processor, but only can boot EFI 32. This was a really stupid decision by Apple. And with that EFI 32, you are buying a crippled machine, in my opinion.

2008 and later, you are safe with EFI 64.

Years ago 2006 owners were really pissed off about it, and looked for all kinds of workarounds, Chameleon being one, if memory serves.

Anyway, why buy that headache. Not worth it. Stick with 2008 and later.

To make it clearer, I have the 2006 and am looking to get the 2008 because of the 32 bit efi and more power, of course.
