Okay, my contract with Verizon is up, and my wife's contract will be ending soon. Verizon has been excellent, but as you can imagine, I'm drawn to the possibility of switching to AT&T and getting an iPhone (or two... for my wife).

To all current iPhone users, I have two questions:

After taxes and everything, how much does your monthly bill come out to be?

Is it really worth it?

That is what I am wondering about. I hear something about an extra $20 charge a month for service with an iPhone. I don't know. I'm doing my research, but wanted to get a first hand account from current iPhone users.

My wife and I will be sharing a family plan.

Nothing. I won it on Day One and haven't been able to switch since. It's the most tormenting thing in the world, you know... having the greatest phone on the planet (at least for five more days)... UNLOCKED... for use with any SIM card anywhere in the world...

and not having service of your own. Can you imagine what I go through? "So, AT&T, then, eh?" "No, I don't have service..." "Wait... you have an iPhone... you can use it with anything... and you don't have service? That's funny!" "You don't have an iPhone. That's funny."

That's all that I can say...

$50 for unlimited interwab and texting due to me working the system at AT&T.

taylorwilsdon.... what plan do you have... the middle one? I will joining AT&T very soon when I get the 3g iPhone, but I will be getting the lowest plan--$59.99 a month. I hear that one totals to about $65, is this true?

Our Family Plan works out to about $249 split four ways. (3) iPhones and (1) Blackberry, and we have the data plans, unlimited text messaging, unlimited minutes M-F 7pm v. 9pm, rollover minutes at 6,000+, 1400 Minutes, and unlimited m2m. $62.25 per month per phone.

Pennies under $100 for one iPhone and two other standard phones. When one thinks about it, the plans are getting ridiculous considering technology is supposed to get cheaper. Yet they still hammer you with $40/month and all of us suckers line up to pay!

$79.00 after tx
2 phone lines
750 anytime min
1 iphone
3 or 4 other phones for second line.

So true. People sue over scalding hot coffee at McDonalds, but think nothing of it when companies abuse their power.

After taxes around $66 for 450 anytime (Rollover) + 200 bonus anytime minutes (Don't rollover but get used first) / 5000 N&W / 200 texts & unlimited data

The $20 is the data plan. Aside from that there's $10-$15 tax on top of your bill but that's for any phone/plan.

Where do those 200 bonus anytime minutes come from? That would be perfect as 450 minutes isn't quite enough and 900 would probably be overkill...I'll be switching when the new phone drops.

I pay about $66 every month. I use to have the $79 plan but was never using all the minutes. so i downgraded to the 450min plan. I text more than call so I got unlimted texting.

I do have about 2,200 rollover minutes that I gotta use too.

I pay almost $100 (after taxes)a month for Myfaves 350+ Unlimited Txts + Unlimited Web + Phone Protection. I am really thinking about switching to ATT now since the 3G coverage is so great around here and my college area. What would the monthly price be for least minutes + Unlimited Web/Txt + iPhone protection?

Dude, don't BOGART the OP's thread, that's just not right.

I am inquiring about the same subject, I bet if I started a new thread I would be told to post in here. Not to be rude but he doesn't own this thread and me asking this can only really help his knowledge of AT&T's pricing. I am in no way trying to take over this thread.

$108 for 750 minute shared family plan w/2 line (1 iPhone, 1 Nokia). That breaks down to:

Line 1: $63
Line 2: $10
Data (Line 2): $20
Taxes, etc: $15
