I haven't replaced mine yet. Right now it only lasts like 3 hours medium use full charge but I want to make sure if it's really the battery or another factory defect of the iPhone 6S
I am planning on giving it to my dad if I can replace the battery once I upgrade to the XS+

Not sure what “defect” you’re referring too but, if you get the battery replaced it will last as long as it did when it was new. Battery usage is dependent on many factors and everyone’s use is different. Some can get 8 hours with light use while others may only get 4(or less) due to demanding tasks. What’s the battery capacity now? If you are anywhere near mid 80% a replacement is due.. Coconut battery for your Mac is an app that can tell you your battery health or you can go to the Apple store and they can check for you. It’s only $30 to replace it at Apple so personally I’d replace it regardless what the health is
