Hello, I need to upgrade. I was hoping to buy an iMac but looks like it won't be upgraded until later this year. I've actually waited a whole year for the iMac and I just need an upgrade as soon as possible.

I have the 15 inch late 2008 MacBook Pro. It has a few problems like the logic board is messed up (can't use usb ports, firewire, minidisplay port), and the trackpad sort of "jams" (stays in place) at certain angles. I'm sure the latter can be repaired easily but I don't know how. This besides a few wear and tear scratches and what not. I upgraded the HDD to 640gb.

How much do you think I can get for that? And where would be a great place to sell it? I can use the extra money to buy a newer and more powerful MBP.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay, or Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what you may be able to charge. Then adjust your price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc.
